Do both wife and husband have to answer questions at the 341...

or can just one or the other answer the questions?
I assume both would have to swear they are who they are and etc., but after that, do both have to answer further questions or just one?

Some questions will be directed at both of you, i.e.

Have you both looked at the petition.
Did you both review the petition before signing...etc.

But as to any specific questions about the content of the petition and your circumstances, it usually fine if one spouse answers.

We both answered, seemed like most were directed at both of us. Just "who is working" he was so he answered where and all that.

The ID questions you will both answer seperately and the ones about the paperwork "did you read the .... " you both answer together. I'm sure the trustee will explain all that to you before hand. Mine explained absolutely everything

Depends on the Trustee, I think. When it came to couples, ours wanted one to "Testify" and the other to agree or disagree at the end.

The Trustee asked which of us wanted to Testify. The men before of, of the couples filing all had, so Hubby said he would. Pretty much Hubby answered the Trustee's questions. I added some info and our attny pointed out some things in our paperwork. At the end of our session, the Trustee asked me if I agreed with what Hubby had said. I said Yes and we were done.

I have a GF who lives in Michigan. At her 341, the attny asked them the "standard" questions. The Trustee only popped in on areas where she wanted further information.
