We just came from our 341 whew

Our Attorney had called us yesterday to say we might be pushed back into a 13 so I ran to his office to look at what he was talking about. He had us making 1100 more a month then what our stubs showed a simple typing error. So Today with a amended schedule in hand he meets us at the meeting they call us he tells trustee that his office needs to amend and would she like to look at it she says yes he hands it to her she then adds all paystubs to show it was a error and ask us three questions and then says I say this case is a no asset case and we leave whew I was stressing. but now we are part of the 60 day club

Congratulations! That 60 days will go by fast, trust me. Then you can really celebrate your "fresh start!"

Congrats! What exactly does no asset mean? Do little things count? Nice tv, tools, 1500 camera..etc?

No Asset cases mean you have nothing of value to sell that the Trustee can take and sell. Means no expensive paid-for cars, vans, boats, homes, or property etc....... and if you do it's probably exempt.

Now its "wait out that 60 days" and then "discharge" and a fresh start. Hopefully no creditor will object - usually none do.....

        Good Luck

I do have some stuff that wouldn't be exempt but it doesn't amount to much. Oh well we'll see what happens.

Every State has a set of Exemptions, NC. Some States allow Filers to choose State or Federal Exemptions.

Exemptions are the $$'s amounts of property you can keep to begin your fresh start after BK is over and done with.

Remember when doing your values pricing,............ Use values based on what you'd pay for like items.

Where would you buy an 8 year old sofa and how much would you pay?? Yard sales, garage sales, 2nd hand stores, eBay. That type of thing.

So your nice TV that you paid $2K for a year ago, brand new, may only bring $100 at a yard sale. If that.

How did you know I paid 2k . I don't know if I'd go that low, maybe 300.
