For example, I went to the emergency room in June (before I planned on filing with my hubby) . We filed on Sept 9th. I included the hospital ($2000) when we filed. The hospital called a few weeks later. I gave them my attorneys name and number. A week ago I got a call from a very rude collection agency who said that as of October 2nd they had the account and asked for my attorney info again. What happens if the creditor you file on is not the one who now has that account? Say I know I owe Sprint money but I don't know who has that account now. I just put Sprint as the creditor.....will the money actually make it where it belongs when I make my payments?

I would probably tell them to go pound sand. They can contact the hospital you filed on to get the bankruptcy information. Your safe as long as you used the creditor who owned the bill when you filed. Most of the major credit card companies I filed on sold the account after I filed, however, the company that bought those accounts filed the claims. There was no problem with that.Chapter 13 Filed 4/03/06  341 Meeting Complete 5/11/06 :yes2:
