    `credit Reporting After 13 Discharged

IS ANYONE HAVINIG TROUBLE WITH THE CREDIT BUREAUS REPORTING ERRONEOUS INFO AFTER THE DISCHARGE? MY CRDIT FILES ARE A MESS AND IT IS HARD TO GET THEM TO UPDATE. I HAVE DISPUTED WITH THEM SENT MY DISCHARGE PAPERS AND ALL. THEY ARE PUTTING CHARGE OFF, WRITTEN OFF IN ADDITION TO WAGE EARNERS PLAN. MY ACCOUNTS WERE NOT CHARGED OFF BEFORE MY 13. ANY SUGGESTIOONS AS TOO WHAT TO DO?

If your accounts were not charged off and were not in arrears when you filed bankruptcy, they should NOT be saying so. I have some myself that do, but I'm waiting for discharge to dispute.

After your bankruptcy discharges, all of your accounts that were reported on the bankruptcy should have $0 owed and the status of something to the effect that they were included in bankruptcy. Any amount other than $0 showing as owed is considered collection effort and is in violation of the bankruptcy stay. You will need to get very firm with them, all in writing.

    Read the Credit boards forum:

Est. 2003. How to repair bad credit, get collection agencies to follow the rules, proper reporting by credit bureaus, and financial education to maintain good credit.

They have a section on bankruptcy, with stickies as to how your credit reports should be reporting. You may have to send a cease and desist order (with possible intent to use) informing they are in violation of the automatic stay of bankruptcy.

When I get my discharge papers I'll be on this same path so we can compare notes.
