Any Mortgage Brokers or ex Mortgage Brokers on this board.

If so, Lets talk..... This included Real Estate Agents as well.

I have been on medical leave and considered coming back part time but I am so afraid the stress is going to cause problems for me. As you guys know BOA is getting rid of their wholesale division and a lot of Brokers are canceling their bank accounts with them.

In the 8 years I been in this business this has been the worse!!!! What is scary is you don't know if the lender you are working with is going to go out of business in the middle of your deal or not.

to be honest, This market is not getting better, the prediction is 2009 plus before any slight improvement.

What are you guys plan B???

Believe it or not, 10% of the producers will still make 90% of the money, good or bad market.

Their sales will remain constant because even though the market is bad, many people leave the business during lean times freeing up business for the top producer.

I have never met a top producer who did not have excellent prospecting and follow up skills. They might need to change strategies in a bad market, but they will survive.

B12 it isn't about bad market anymore, it is about lender not having the products or going out of business.

RE training broker 25 years in north east.

Maybe use the word seasoned instead of top producer. They will always be ok. And if the mortgage broker is seasoned, he will be ok also. Creative financing instead of inputting data in computer.

I have been a broker for 8 years and I guess with the stress of my medical issues and BK the problems in the mortgage industry is just the topping on the cake.
