Christmas music is on the radio!

I just LOVE this time of year!
My husband is gone, so I can listen to it at my heart's content!

(He gets a wee bit pissy if Christmas music is on before Thanksgiving!)

It got down to the 60's here last nite. Christmassy for us. Things here are in a funk with tax issues, insurance (car and house) and broken or "half-assed" kept promises from Governor Crist, very few halloween decorations even.

Robivi .....I agree with you. I haven't seen much in the way of decor for Halloween this year here in Florida. I love Christmas but I think it is going to be a very hard time for many people this year.

Perhaps it will occur to people to actually celebrate what Christmas is about rather than what they can afford or what gifts they are getting!

There are alot of issues. I am about to get bumped after 24 years to weekends off because higher seniority people need the OT us weekday guys get. That has NEVER happened ever. The personal economy of many families is not so good here. Things are tight with property taxes running at half of the mortgage payment for many and then Insurance rounding it out. One more storm and that may do me in as a home owner. The problem, rent for a two bedroom in a not so hot area is 1600-2000.

I think any big Christmas is out of the question for us. I am buying myself a used ten year old Toyata Tercel, parking the van for awhile at least.

Gov. Crist, LOL, what a joke.

I can afford my house payment. I can't afford the HOA dues of 300. a month, homeowners and flood of 4000. a year and taxes of 5000. a year.

My relatives up north think I am "lucky" living in cheap Florida. LOL, they need a Florida clue.

I am done, they can take the house and keep their thousands of color coordinated flowers in the community that HOA dues pay for.

                  Geez.

And I thought Michigan was bad! Our governor and her mole are just tearing this state apart....

(I say "her mole" because she has this huge wart on her face that she needs to seriously have removed, and it's very distracting. Lord knows we pay her enough her to take the darn thing off....)

To top it all off, she's not even an American.....she was born and raised in Canada.....
