    statements after discharge?

I'm still getting statements from a bank that I had two loans IIB. I've been discharged since 10/15 (YEAAAAA) but am still getting statements on these two loans showing past due. They are also still being reported on my credit report. I've disputed with the credit reporting agencies to no avail.

The background is that I was a loan officer (go figure) with this bank a few years ago and left for the competition. Well, competition closed my bank and here I am. Tough luck. Wondering if this is revenge, or what? What's the next step?

Your first course of action would be to send the lender/bank a copy of the discharge and your creditor matrix, showing that the debt is discharged. If you hired an attorney, inform him/her as well of the situation and he/she can handle the situation as well.

The lender is violating the discharge order and they have no choice but to discahrge the debt, even if they want revenge.

All suggestions are based on personal experience and research and SHOULD NOT be construed as legal advice as I am NOT an attorney. Always consult with competent counsel in your area with regards to your particular situation.

Remember 10/15 was less than a month ago. Could be just a timing thing. Bankruptcy information doesn't get to the billing area from one day to another. Just shred/burn any bills from them that you might get in the future.

DO NOT shred or burn the bills. If you're having problems getting them to discharge the debt you'll want a paper trail for future reference.

Give them another billing cycle to come correct and see what happens. In the mean time, do as BassBoy suggest and send them your case info.
