help:pay off early?

We owe $18,000 in unsecured debt. I completed the means test and according to it, our monthly Chapter 13 payment would be somewhere around $700 per month. So, the full balance would be paid off in a little over 2 years. Would our BK be completed at that time. We don't have to pay the full 3-5 yrs if the balances are paid off, right?

That's my understanding...so I question why you would file when you could try some negotiation/refinancing/snowballing or whatever you want to call it? Unless you make less than $6K/year, I would not file. This level of debt seems quite manageable.

Agree, if you can pay off 100% of your debt in less than 3 years via a chapter 13...you really should not need to file chapter 13.
