Two months left til Bar Date

My creditors have until the first of the year to file a claim or they don't get anything. The notice of this was sent 1 month ago. So far according to my attorney only one creditor has filed so far. Crossing my fingers that only a few actually do.

My husband and I obtained a home equity loan to pay the claims. Once the whole thing is done, and my new attorney's fees are totalled up..we are going after my previous representation for those.

Most of my creditors filed the claims 2-4 weeks before the deadline. Chase filed 2 days before the bar date. Still a long way to go, keep your fingers crossed, but I wouldn't get that home equity loan just yet.

We got a home equity line of credit but I am not on the loan as my name is not on the title to the house. The loan is in my husbands name only. Whatever we don't have to use for this will be used here and there for home improvements.

Did I post this in the Chpt 13 forum? Odd...as my BK is actually a 7...long story.
