    From FOX News................

According to a FOX news report, Australian airlines are thinking about increasing air fares by weight.
If you're under 200 lbs - regular fare.
    201 to 210 - regular fare + 5 %
    211 to 220 - regular fare + 10 &
    and so on.

Here Southwest Airlines already overcharges "weighty" folks on some flights.

OMG, so how do they know your weight? Do they stick you on a scale or something during check in? Do travel agents have scales now in office?
Gimme a break! Im a little chunky and if anyone tried to weigh me to see If they needed to 'charge' a bit extra I'd be ready to body slam someone...lol...
BTW I'd be willing to guess 30% of Americans adults are that heavy. New way for big bucks

Yep. It calculates according to famous baby formulae => One additional pound (lbs) = $1 additional/extra for gasoline cost! ..

Any why not. As a pilot I can tell you it costs money to fly a airplane. The cost to operate a flight is based primarily on weigth of the aircraft cargo and not the number of persons onboard.

My only resveration is , if you wight 100 pounds, can you fly for half price?

That is pretty funny actually. It like buying produce or something. They make everyone step on the scale and then charge you per pound. My 3 year old is only 30 pounds so at least he'd be able to fly for cheaper, lol.
