Capital 1's law firm?

We filed 3/16, had our 341 5/11. Our lawyer gave us a letter from capital 1 auto finance that he signed and we mailed in. Our vehicles have been sitting at a car dealer for over a month. I have tried numerous times to call their law firm as has our lawyer and the car dealer. They never return the messages to anyone.

Today, on a whim, I called them and they answered. They say they never got the letter and asked what address I used. I told them the return envelope they supplied. I told them where the vehicles were and the contact info. She was very nasty and asked if they were accruing any fees. I said I hope you aren't. ;)

I did everything they asked and then some. For my efforts, I got 2 extra months of bad reporting on our credit report. What a cluster of morons. And they get on us for not being perfect?

The dealer i purchased my car from after bk said sometimes he would have cars on his lot for 2-3 months just waiting for the bank to pick them up. He could not understand it as 2 to 3 months in a used cars makes the value drop. Oh well Tinroofrusted has posted alot on how to remove crap from your report. I have not started yet but need to remove some things or just have my report state the right info. You might be able to dispute this as an error if it was their option to pick the car up sooner?

Thanks, glad to see I am not alone. I guess what irks me is that my lawyer, myself and the dealer have all contacted the law firm and they basically ignored all messages. I did what they wanted and then they get pissy because they dropped the ball?

I was happy with the car dealer for allowing us to drop the vehicles there, so as to save the questions of having them picked up at our house.

The last day for creditors is 7/10. I plan on using the info Trr posted to try to clean things up soon after.

I just got off the phone with the car dealer and they did pick up the vehicles on Monday. Can you say, left hand...meet right hand?
