Quick Question Please Help

Hey guys... here is the deal... I am filing Ch7.. I have my 311 meeting on Nov 30th.. The only thing that i was going to reaffirm was a car loan with wells fargo which was in my name and a friends name... He decided he wanted to trade it and get a car just in his name... The car is a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT with 88000 miles.. He is going to be way upside down prolly 6000.00. The value is only 8500.00 and he owes like 12000.00

Question is.. Is there a problem for me if he does this. I hope not.. It would be great to get my name off of that car..

was the payment a part of your budget in your chapter 7? Or because it belonged to "the other guy" was it not included in your chapter 7 budget? If it was a part of your chapter 7 budget, then you might have disposable income. Best to check with your attorney.

it was in my budget but now my wife and i both are not working.. we have no income right now...

Ok.. here is the deal... He isnt going to be able to make it to the dealer to trade till after out 341.. I talked to the Attorney's Assistant.. She didnt seem to think this would be a problem... What do you guys think??
