I am allowed to rent my house out that is in foreclosure?

Am I allowed to rent my empty house out that is in foreclosure?

What I am talking about is rent it out for a 3 month time frame - but be upfront with the tenants and tell them they can only stay 3 months because the home is going into foreclosure.....

Is this frowned upon from the pont of the mortgage company?

I would not think it's illegal??

    Any comments......
Personaly I really dont feel right about it unless I was letting my friend live there for free....

Just curious what the law is about this, if there is any?

    thanks, techno

We had already been renting out house out. The renters weren't very good about paying, so we fell behind on the mortgage. After we filed and when they DID manage to pay money I called the mortgage company AND my attorney to ask what to do with the money. They said keep it. I was floored, I just figured it belonged to the BK Estate, but both of them said it was mine to do whatever with. To me, that's just messed up, but it ended up only being a couple of months worth and we had to evict them anyway.
