Alomost in the 30 day club

Hello folks, thanks for all of your great and fantastic help. I am almost in the 30 day club. I would like to know generally, if a creditor is going to dispute the dischargeability of a debt, at what point during the 60 days will they tend to make their move? Will they contact myself of my attorney? Will my attorney go back and forth with them without even keeping me in the loop in the eary goings?

What about the US trustee? If the US Trustee was to get involved in anyway, when will they tend to do it during the 60 days?

Thanks for all of your great and fantastic help.

In my experience the first time, the UST was involved one week after the 341. So, I would think that he would get involved sooner rather than later, but that's just a guess and not based on anything. As far as creditors, they have to object within the 60 day window, and if they do not, they are SOL. I do not think that anyone can tell that there is a certain time at which creditors tend to lodge objections. YMMV on that one. Creditor objections are rare. Do you have anything questionable that they might object?

Thanks for your help. I did have some large recent charges / cash advances, although they were outside of the 70/90 days they weren't much out of it. Probably only about 5 days past the 70 /90 days. I am worried and hoping that no creditor objects. I am wondering if any of them made the initial contact to my attorney threatening to sue? Thanks for all of your help.

I've read on this forum that some creditors waited until the last day to object. They have the 60 days and can object ANYTIME during that period.

I believe the US Trustee has 10 days from your 341 meeting to file a statement if it appears from your schedules I and J or information from the 341 meeting that you don't qualify for Chapter 7.

          Good luck!
