Thanks Jim yoyoma51 12-11-2007, 09:23 PM Welcome to the boards, Jim! I have no knowledge of this attorney, however I do have a tip for you. Many bankruptcy trustees are also private practice bankruptcy attorneys. The advantage (in my opinion) of hiring one of these is: 1. They know the other local trustees (because they are one). This is good for you as often your attorney will be a close friend of your trustee. This is a good thing. 2. Being a trustee himself, your attorney will know EXACTLY what your trustee is looking for (as far a red flags, etc.) and help you avoid those things. Below is a link to trustees for all states. Check it out. http://www.usdoj.gov/ust/eo/private_trustee/locator/index.htm ONE CAUTION: DO NOT call all your local trustees for free consultations. Your will spoil the local trustee pool and that could be an issue. PLEASE NOTE: I am not a lawyer. Bankruptcy may or may not be a best scenario for you. It depends on your situation. You may assume my advice is totally useless. Talk to an experienced bankruptcy attorney (or three) in your jurisdiction for legal advice. Good luck, my friend! | |
