Selling House and Bankruptcy

Can I file during and while by house is for sale? There is about $10,000 in equity that would be exempted. I would hate to lose that amount by surrendering the property. Not sure if this is a fradulent act? Help please.

How is your housing market? Do you really think it would sell during this time? If not, you might want to use the bk as a blessing and walk away from it without worry.
