I am discharged!

Hi everyone. I am finally discharged after much of anxiety over this case. It says on my pacer i am discharged. We went to one lawyer and he said we fit in ch 13 not a 7. The other lawyer said we should be able to fit in a 7 and we did. So don't let lawyers push you to a 13 if you have a gut feeling you can do a 7. We are over the median too. I appreciate everyone's input on my issue.

Does this mean my bankruptcy case is closed too?

Congrats on your discharge and fresh start!

It is often difficult to say whether or not someone over the median income will qualify under the BK reforms without have all the debtor's information and spending an hour or two actually crunching all the numbers. That may explain why the first attorney you consulted without thought it was a Chapter 13 situation.
