    File then how long till first 13 payment is due

    I have always wanted to ask this.............

    How long after you file do you have before you must make your first Chapter 13 payment to the trustee? I don't know why, but I am thinking within 30 days.

    You are correct, you MUST make your first chapter 13 payment WITHIN 30 days of the date you filed your BK petition. (note it's 30 days from the BK petition...not from the date you filed your chapter 13 plan...in some cases people do an emergency filing--the petition and schedule of creditors)

      I am under old plan.
      All of my payments are garnished from pay, and the first payroll deduction was about 45 days after filing
