Yet another question about authorized users' credit report

My husband was listed as an authorized user on three of my accounts. (I am filing individually and my husband is not) The accounts were individual accounts, not joint.

I read somewhere that the banks, Chase, MBNA and Bank of America can negatively report on his credit report since he is an authorized user, and maybe even go after him for charges he made since he is my husband. Is this possible?

I am not filing until the end of July, mid-August and today called those three banks and removed him as an authorized user. This gives them thirty days to report that he is no longer an authorized user to the credit bureaus. Do you think this will protect his credit after I file?
