money in checking account/how soon after filing is 341 meeting

How will the trustee look at the money I currently have in my checking or savings accounts? I have the money saved for large bills (taxes, insurance, etc that will need to be paid by June). Will the trustee take the money. I am planning to file alone and I can't bring myself to do it. I am so scared of the what ifs, the 341 meeting, objections, even the lawyer scares me (my last lawyer was really not nice to me), the new one i consulted seems a little nicer. I know I am not in debt like a lot of you on the board, my debt is only 22,000 but my income also is only 2000 a month so it really hard to pay 700 to creditors and still pay my other bills, I am getting nowhere on the cc's with 24% interest. I can't do a chapter 7, plus i have assests to protect.
I've been using a PO box because my neighbors are contantly getting my mail, so i opened a PO box in my name so my credit bills (and late bills) etc would not get mixed with my neighbors mail and have them gossiping about my troubles. Would the trustee find that to be odd that i have some things coming to my home address and others to a PO box? I would prefer even the BK mail go through my PO box to avoid the gossip if it accidently gets delivered to them I would be so upset....I know I am thinking of all these odd things, but I am so scared of all these scenerios that could happen.
Also, when can I expect my meeting? When I filed the chapter 7 years ago, i filed in May and the meeting wasn't until August...(guess there was a back up of cases)...is that dependant also on the courts, etc?

First, any money you have in your checking account on the day you file, unless it is covered by your exemption should be a problem. If you have money saved for your insurance etc I would get a cashiers check for the partial insurance saved and make sure you keep copies for the trustee. Mail the partial payment in advance if you can.

As far as the PO box, that is kinda normal. People do that all the time to avoid snoopy neighbors. Don't worry about that.

Look through the posts around here and you may find some of your questions answered. 341 meetings are usually around 45 days after you file but can be as quick as 20 (oh please let mine come that soon)

How long ago did you file before?

Pay those large bills that you are worried about in advance/ASAP to lower the amounts left in your bank accounts by the time you file/have your 341 hearing.
Question: How did you manage to change your address with creditors from your actual address to a PO Box?
Trustees don't care one way or another where you receive your mail. The bankruptcy court will send any notifications to your mailing address - if you designate a PO Box then that is where they will send everything.

I just changed my mailing address from my home address to PO Box. I haven't filed yet, so not sure if that would make a difference or not.
