    Getting confused? Please help!

I have been in the bk process now for over 18 months. We were getting ready to sign last September, but my job relocated me to a different state. My lawyer has been trying to get rid of me since then (apparently I am a case he doesn't want to deal with). As of today, I still have not filed. All credit cards show "charged off" on our credit reports, with dates it will be removed. We have a home back in Missouri, but we haven't paid on it in 4 months. We cannot afford the rent in Oklahoma along with the home, so we decided to include it in bk. My ex-lawyer says that we are above the state mean, and that since we aren't keeping the home, we wouldn't qualify for a ch 7 since our bills wouldn't be enough. They were with the home previously before the move. I have 3 questions.

1 - Are the CC companies going to go after me for the amounts I owe, or since it says charge off, does that mean they are done with me?

2 - What should I do about the house? Call the lenders? Put it up for sale?

3 - Should I even get another lawyer, or try to do it on my own?

    Thanks for your time!

Since you have moved from one state to another you need to contact a lawyer in your area to handle things for you. Laws vary from state to state.

Since you had NOT FILED YET had you given the attorney in Missouri a retainer?
If not, he is not obligated to you in any way for anything.....
Regarding the house issue...... if you have not made a payment in 4 months they are probably already starting foreclosure proceedings on that property.....

You definetely need to contact a attorney in your area.... and see what options are open too you...

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
