My husband is in a doctoral program which gives him the opportunity of taking a class overseas. We are planning on using our tax refund to pay his air fare. We will file 13 in the next few months. Anyone foresee problems with this?

I would wait at least 6 months before I filed...... Often continued education (at your own expense) is still considered a luxury....especially in a foreign country. Example..... vacation and education combined....
Really shouldn't be much of a problem if your filing a Chapter 13 anyways....Minny

What if you have 80K airmiles and want to use them just before you file think that would be a problem??? I cant see them complaining over free flights???

I don't believe "free air miles" would be an issue, BUT any money that you would spend on such a trip would be..............
