I am new here so I apologize if this is covered else where, etc. My husband and I filed for a chapter 13 in October and were well into it when my husband lost his job. We decided that we were too stressed out and scared of the trustee to try to stay in a 13 (we only did 13 to keep the house) so we are now about to switch to a 7. I have a few questions regarding this.
1) We are letting the house go. We are already moving to a rent house. My BOL told me that if we call Wamu and just tell them they can have the keys that they will PAY US so that they don't have to do legal stuff. Anyone heard of this?
2) Can we ammend our taxes and get the money we didn't try to get due to the 13?
3) Can we finance a car ever again? One or 2 and where?
4) Does our credit rating go back to 0 or what?
5) If some new bills have popped up since the 13 can we put those in the 7?
Thanks!
