Late fees for secured loans paid thru plan

We have a vehicle loan that we will be paying through the plan. We were never late on the payments until we filed in November and started sending the payments to the trustee which includes the vehicle payment.I just received a late notice and a late fee so I called the lender. They said they can stop the late notices from being sent but we will keep receiving the late fees on our account. Is it different for secured loans can they continue to add late fees unlile the unsecured loans? We are not up for confirmation until April 15th so they will not get paid for a few months.I thought the automatic stay stopped all actions?

If you haven't already called your lawyer, do so first thing tomorrow morning. I just don't see how it can be legal for them to charge a late fee. That would be violation of the automatic stay I would think
