I Got A Final Notice In The Mail

This is really funny. I got a card in the mail that says "Our affice has been trying to contact you. You are guaranteed a $25,000 Grant from the U.S. Goverment. Use your money to: Pay bills, start or expand a business, yada-yada...then it gives me a deadline and a toll-free number to call (1-877-810-7908) DO THESE PEOPLE THINK I AM STUPID....NICE TRY THOUGH. And if your thinking I called the number, no I have no intentions to.

I am finally meeting with a bankrupcy attorney tomorrow....hopefully well finally get the ball rolling.

    Cheers everyone.

It sounds like one of those places that sends you information on how to write letters to obtain a grant. The put those in newspapers and other places. Toss it out; they usually charge you for the information. AND if you are interested in getting a grant, you can go to the library and find books on writing for the grants.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

I went to college for tech writing and did a lot of "grant writing" kind of stuff. Grants are not about "paying your bills." That's not what they are for, so that is lie #1. You can ask for grant money to do specific things if grants are available for that category of things. For instance, you can "retrofit a farm for wind-power," or study "the rate at which cheese melts," if there are grants available for those things. Also, if you do find a grant for which you want to apply, there are reasonable grant-writing books at the library. In that case, anyone could write a grant.
