Well guys I've been there and done that. I've been low and I've been high, but once I was discharged, I decided that my life was not over. I decided to restart my company and use my fresh start to make that happen. at the time I filed my average score was 496. Now, even with my getting more credit to build my business my score avg is 603. I have not missed or been late with a payment since I filed (2006). If I would have not gotten (and used) so much credit since my discharge ($3,000.00+ on 4 cards) I'm sure that it wouldd be higher! I'm taking my time and doinf things the right way now. I have a bidget that I stick to, and I make sure all the bills are paid before I do anything else (unlike my youth ) I'm glad that there are soo many people here that offer support. If it were not for you guys, I'm sure I would not have made it.

God bless! I have a bidgit myself!:D
I went through a very rough period last year with moving & other personal life issues where my new credit came in very handy. But not wanting to be abusive with it, I have just about zeroed out two balances and my third card (the one with the lowest interest rate) will be next....it's totally not even near max or anything close, but I'd like to clear it out as well.
I just got one of those WaMu offers with 0% interest for a year in regards to a balance tranfer. Is it a wise thing to do...are the offers for real? If so, it would sure save me some $ and allow me to pay it off without nasty interest.

I tried to respond the the WA MU credit card 0%, but when I called they said I was not qualified... Whatever! So I'm gpoing to have them all paid off by the end of the year again so I can continue rebuilding.

It will just mean 2 potential sinkholes instead of one. They can revoke that 0% at any time by changing your terms...they can give you an excuse but they don't need a reason.

I hear ya; it seems to be "going around" in the credit world..I think I'd like to pay off my Hooter's ($250) and see if they'd drop my annual & %rate...29% is what I started at, over a year ago and I've never been late & really don't need that card anymore, with that interest rate...my HSBC is 16% and Juniper is 21%...that's enough!
