    Old Attorney

I recently changed attorneys and sent my prior attorney a letter requesting an itemized invoice of just exactly how much of my retainer he spent. He did nothing for me other than going to the Chapter 13 creditor's meeting and nothing when I begged him for help when I couldn't make my trustee payments. Don't you think he should send me an invoice? My new attorney said I should probably get some of the money back since he didn't do much for me. Of course I haven't heard back from him. Has anyone else changed attorneys after filing?

So your first attorney started a chapter 13...are you know in a 7, or is this attorney finishing up your 13.

Did your chapter 13 get confirmed, if so, then the attorney pretty earned his entire fee. The basic chapter 13 attorney's fee generally covers from the date you hire the attorney up to confirmation. Anything after that is usually extra.
