Ok, I checked PACER today and saw where American Express Merchant Bank filed a Notice of Service, twice. What is this? What's the difference between Notice of Service and Notice of Appearance? Also, I have no idea who these people are. Anyone heard of them? I don't have, never had, and American Express. Help, I have no clue.

Update to my post above. The company is actually American Express Centurian Bank. They are related to HSBC and World Finance......so I know who they are. But I still don't know the difference between Notice of Service and Notice of Appearance. The Notice of Service: does this mean they just want to get a copy of all the paperwork/case filings whereas Notice of Appearance means they will appear at the 341?
