I have too many CC debts that I stopped paying about 2 years ago. Everything went wrong. I had 2 sons 10 months apart, I was/am going to college, and my husband lost his job. It was pay CC bills or rent and food. I don't know how to start with this whole bankruptcy thing. I have nothing except a car which is not worth more than 3k. Our income is SSI that we get for my son's disability, welfare and scholarship money I get every quarter.

Please help me.

I would like to know first of all if I can do it on my own?

I also have a reposession on a car I signed out for a cousin who didn't pay it and returned it in the worse conditions possible so there still is an outstanding balance of about 5k. Would BK cover that amount too?

How do i began? Please help me I am so nervous about this. I just hate having bad credit.

I would think you can save a few dollars and hire a decent attorney who knows the ropes
I never encourage anyone to do it alone. The bankruptcy laws are complex and its your
name and personal credit thats in limbo for attack and lawasuites from creditors.
You need to do it right. I am sure you can find a decent attorney for $500 down and
payments. Take my advice dont do it alone.
