Filing single, but married

How does it work (monetarily) if I make ALL the money in the home, but wife stays home and watches our daughter, and I file bankruptcy alone. Not Jointly. Does she and my daughter get extra money, or is it exactly the same if we file jointly.

I would assume if we both made the same amount of money, my filing alone would NOT touch her income. Correct? If so, is she "granted" a certain amount of money that can't be touched?

If your wife makes no income, its pretty much as if you filed jointly. She does not get anyh "credit" for any income that "you" make.
