Has Anyone Ever Bought Home in Ch 13?

We've been in a Ch 13 for one year. Surrendered our home and have been renting. We want to move back to our home state. My husband's job will not change.

My family has land and I was optimistically thinking that instead of renting, I wonder if we could get financed for a mobile home to put on the land. Here are my concerns...

1. From my understanding, I can move wherever I want, but must inform trustee. Right?
2. Has anyone here actually gotten permission to purchase/finance home while in Chapter 13?
3. If that is not an option, and we rent again...and the rent is a lot lower (which it will be based on cost of living) will the trustee just need our new address..or will they want proof of new rent and change payment?

I would like to know also. I am also 12 months in with 48 to go. I live in CA and pay 1050 a month on rent but I could move to AZ and get a small house and pay roughly 900 a month with no money down but then that is acquiring a new asset and dont know if that is legal. If I hear anything I will post and if you hear anything please do the same.
