    Not getting the hint?

We filed 3/16, had our 341 5/11 and all has been going fine, with one exception. Bank of America will not take the hint. They have continued to send bills and notices and even emails. I had our lawyer send them a letter, we sent a copy of the notice with one of the bills, I called them and gave them our lawyers info and the BK number. We got another bill and a nasty "we are lowering you credit limit" letter today.

The last day for objections in 7/10. I am not going to contact them until after we get our discharge, but is there anything we can do to get them off our backs? They are, of course, not reporting correctly on the CR's, but we will deal with that after it is all done.

Can I just have them beaten?

BoA was the next to last creditor that continued to give us grief. I told them as you did several times and gave them all the pertinent information but they persisted until one night I demanded to talk with a supervisor. I was nice but firm and I didnt hear from them after that. Maybe they think they can manipulate you into paying them..I wouldnt worry about it.

I am not really worried about it, I just wanna move on. I have had that card for years and years, so they have gotten more money out of me that I will ever owe them.

Just pisses me off that they are breaking the law and they don't seem to have a care in the world.

What they are doing is freaking illegal and you ought to push the issue by filing a law suit against them. If they were served with a suggestion of BK, they shouldn't be contacting you anymore. Make them pay for the harassment!

Send them a certified letter informing them that they are breaking the law. Send copies of the collections notices highlighting the days, hours, months, or whatever when they were sent.

Inform them that they are breaking the law, and you are entitled to a settlement under the Bankruptcy Act laws, and tell them to cease collections immediately.

Thanks for the advice. The last day for objections is 7/10, so I think I will sit on it for a couple more days, then have my lawyer send them a nice little letter to tell them cease or be sued.

They just sent a letter yesterday that they lowered out credit line to $500, like I care???

              Bank of America

I've had problems with BOA also. When they called us my husband tried to tell them we had filed for bankruptcy and tried to give them our attorneys phone number and they refused to take the number and kept asking questions. My husband said "do you want the number or not?". The man ignored him so my husband hung up.
I haven't had any problems out of any other credit card companies. Yet.......

I had the exact same thing happen to me. BOA called and I tried to give them my attornies information. The guy just kept asking me questions, and I kept referring him to my attornies and again tried to give him the information. He said that, that is not how they (BOA) do business and that I needed to give him the information. I said NO, that you need to contact my attorney. He said that he was going to put it in the notes that I was refusing to give him information. Anyone have any ideas on what to do at that point?

HAVE A GOOD LAUGH - AT THEIR EXPENSE!!!!!!!!

Then if they keep it up - follow suit...but be sure to document everything they send, times they call, etc.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
