Wife on some Mortgage pages but not on Note.

My lawyer filed Chapter 7 for me a couple of weeks ago. Since all the debt was in my name, my wife did not file. On our mortgage her signature "needed"* to be on a few pages but she did not sign the Note itself.

My lawyer said since she is not on the note she is not responsible for the debt.

The reason I am bringing this up a few documents on Pacer related to my case have apparently been sent to my wife too. So I am a little scared that she will somehow need to be roped into this.

*I say "needed" because we were told she had to sign a few pages for the mortgage to go through since we are married.

She's on the title, not the mortgage.

Actually, she probably signed the mortgage, but not the note.

She also may have signed a waiver of dower rights, or a similar doc, depending on what state you're living in.

Although this should have been done earlier, have your attorney take a look.
