    Any advice or examples of how to talk with bank about deferring loan payments?

    We are facing a shortfall for 3-6 mos. What should I say that will convince our bank and a couple other creditors to defer our payments for this period? What are they liable to ask me when I call? Thanks.

    What kind of loans are we talking about?

      Our first and hopefully second mortgage. The first is an FHA loan, the second is with our credit union. Both are administered by the credit union I believe.
