    meeting, objections, then what?

We filed Ch 7 3/13/08. our meeting of Creditors or 341 meeting (is that the same?)is 4/8/08. It says on our court paper, last day for objections is 6/9/08. Is that objections that my creditors will object too? or the trustee? or both? basically what happens after that? Im pretty sure I wont have any creditors object... but Im worried about the trustee.... we fell way over means, until our attorney added in a few special circumstances. then we were in the negative. I guess what I want to know is after the day of objections, am I about done? how long does it take for the trustee to turn us down, do they have to do it before 6/9/08? 6/9/08 feels like a lifetime away! Im sorry, I just asked a million questions! funny to be excited and scared all at the same time! Thanks for all input!

60 days applies to both creditors and the Trustee. 60 days after your 341 meeting, if there are no objections, you get your discharge.

Objections can be filed for creditors who believe you took the debt knowing you could not pay them back. The creditor can file an objection any time, up to the 59th day. If the creditor objects you can make an agreement to pay back maybe 1/2 the debt over the next year, or you can fight it. If you fight it and win, you win but still have to pay your attorney extra for fighting it (if you used an attorney). If you lose, you have to pay the debt in full AND your attorney.

Objections are rare, and would most likely occur if you took out big cash advances or balance transfers a few months before filing or something like that. Even then, the banks don't often object because it costs them money to object. My attorney said they usually won't object unless the debt is over $6k becuase half of that is $3k and it may cost them $2-3k to fight you.

I believe there is a STICKIE at the top of this forum on Objections.
