    Negative Schedule J

If you are negative on your schedules by say $350 or so, is that acceptable when filing for Chapter 7? I'm confused as to whether or not showing a negative # is truly a "good thing" when filing, or if Trustees tend to frown on that

    Thanks

Wow! Monkatom...I am about the same as you and was very concerned they would ask me how I planned on paying those items. I wouldn't have a clue how to answer that one without getting into deep do-do. My knee jerk answer would be work more, spend less but then can they say...well, if you work really really hard and spend really really less than you can pay your creditors something! Sounds far-fetched to me but still makes me worry. I'm glad your trustee didn't seem to be too concerned about it.

US Trustee still might bring it up down the road but at the meeting nothing was said

I believe that it can be a problem if you want to reaffirm something like two cars or a large mortgage.
