    thinking of filing pro-se..rop

My husband and I are thinking of filing pro-se. We live in a rural area, so don't have great access to an attorney who specializes in bankruptcy, obviously because of our money concerns aren't sure we can even afford one.. We would really like to get the ball rolling so creditors will stop calling--and also because the new laws are just around the corner. We want o keep our home and vehicle--both of which we are behind a payment --so we need to get current on those AND need to pay lawyer AND get everything filed in time.
So how crazy are we to try this??Here is our financial situation--I think we would be considered no asset ch 7.

    1. we own our home-bought 2 yrs ago-about 1500-2000 in equity, if that.
    2. we own a ford van--owe 4700-worth 4300
    3. we own a 92 pickup-SALVAGE title- in fair condition-worth maybe $1000-used for our self-employed buisiness.
4 we own a rental property recently refinanced-equity maybe 1500-2000- I'm thinking we wouldn't be allowed to keep this anyway-which is fine.
5.our adjusted gross(which I assume is the figure they will want off my taxes) is $1897. per month bills-2876. per month
    6. we have $35000 worth of credit card bills--sadly two years ago we had very little--then our twins were born 8 weeks early and set off a chain off events...long story.

I have seen also internet sites that take your info-fill out BK papers-send them to your -e-mail and have you print and mail/file. Is this a viable option-or just a scam. Any input appreciated

Go to your library, or local bookstore and get a book on filing pro se. I can't remember the name of the one that i used, I believe it was a NOLO book, but they are very useful, and it's better AND cheaper to do it that way!
BUSY running my own credit repair services! Sorry I don't stop in so often any more!
