Can I get a loan before filing?

I'll be filing chp 7 pretty soon, I have I truck wich is paid for and that I have been trying to sell for some time now because uses to much gas (10 cylnder). but haven't been able to sell. (I guess no body wants a car that uses so much gas)
I was thinking on getting one of those loans that don't require credit check, you only have to give them the title of your car and they loan you the money,
and with that money buy another car, but I don't know if that would look like fraud.

Forget it looking like fraud...dont do it. They totally rip you off. You are better off going through any other kind of loan shark than dealing with those title loan companies. They are trying to outlaw them in Tennessee. I know you are in a tight spot but that, believe me, is not the way.

What is the truck worth? (apparently not much if you can't sell it). If its not worth that much, you might actually be better off donating the truck and taking the maximum charity deduction on your income taxes.

Anyway you look at it, your idea is a BAD idea. Stay away from the title loan.

can I get I loan?

The truck is worth around $6,500 trade in value acording to blue book, that's why I was thinking about the title loan, buy my self another car and let the title company keep the truck, but I guess you guys are right and I shouldn't do anything that looks like fraud.
