Hi. Was discharged about two weeks ago. We had listed our truck on the petition and marked the reaffirmation box on the petition. Well the bank has never sent a reaffirmation agreement. Now we are thinking of surrending it to them. Is that possible? It was listed on the bankruptcy sheets and we never signed an agreement. Just want to make sure if we call them to come get it we arent liable for anything on it. THanks

We checked the box for reaffirmation for both of our vehicles. But when our attorney forgot to send in the reaffirmation agreements we had signed, Ford Credit would not accept them after we had been discharged. So, we changed on minds on one of them and gave the car back to them. We were backwards about $7000 on the one we gave back and after Ford sold it we got a notice but it said we were not liable for the $7000 because of the bankruptcy. -
That makes me feel a bit better. We had two trucks we were going to reaffirm but changed our minds on both now. The one we already called the bank to have them come get it but they said they would call us to make arrangements to get it. Its been almost 3 weeks now and they havent called yet. Its not worth what we owe. Maybe worth $4000 and we owe $12000 but we had already paid 5 years and $20,000 on it. Husband leased it for 5 years then we had to get a loan to pay the balance. I know I know stupid move but heck they got their money for the truck. So now I have another truck that I want to give back because its such a gas hog and paying $2.45 a gallon isnt good when you drive 80 miles total each day to and from work. I just wanted to make sure when I call them and they get they cant come back say I owe anything on it because it was included in the bankruptcy.Comment
