    Taxes

Ok, so last year I got the brillian idea of cahsing in my IRA to try and pay off credit cards. It sounded great at the time...

Well because of it, we owed over 6k in taxes this year. Put it on a credit card. (after we met with an attorney because bankrutcy became our only option, he said I shouldn't have done that, how was I supposed to know?) Anyway, the plan didn't work and were right back where we started.

So my question is, since I am the only one filing, should I file seperatly from hubby next year ot just change exemptions to avoid refund possibility?

Yes, paid the taxes in Feb, hoping to file in May. I'm assuming your asking this because they will likley challenge it. Should I wait longer to file?

My attorney didn't say anything about a possible objection.
