Cash Advances

I am just starting this process. I have my fisrt meeting tomorrow with my attorney. I have a concern about my credit accounts. I have taken out several cash advances to pay for things I needed. (all over 6 months ago) Will this affect my filing Chapter7? Does it matter? I am extremely nervous about doing it but I am out of options . I am currentlyl under a debt consolidation program which isnt working out. I havent seen my balances drop in 4 months!! I think this is my only option left/ any advice is greatly appreciated.

Since the cash advances were over 6 months ago, and if you can demonstrate they were for necessary items, you should be ok. Be sure to mention it to your attorney.
