I have been doing some research and I was wondering does credit repair do the same thing as bankruptsy???? You pay them to dispute wrong info???

No, bankruptcy and credit repair are quite different.
Bankruptcy eliminates your obligation to pay certain debts.
Credit Repair can only remove false or inaccurate information from your credit report.
