    Check stubs

My husband gets bonuses only when houses actually close and he is about to go through a dry spell in the next 4 months. We were trying to file Chapter 7 before the deadline, but if you take the average of his bonuses in the past then he will make a little too much to qualify for Chapter 7. Will the trustee contact your employer to verify income or what are we suppose to go off of when his bonuses are not consistent. The bonuses are a seperate check from his salary checks.

What exactly does your husband do...in the real estate arena, usually the trustee will want to see an inventory of the houses that your husband might have a right to recieve a bonus.

He is a builder (superintendent) for new homes. He gets bonuses as his houses close, but does not know until last minute what he is getting.

When was the last time you husband received a bonus? Will it be reflected on a pay stub or bank statement in the last 3 months.

Generally, if a person has widely fluctuating income, you can use an average income from the las 6-12 months.
