Aloha,
I have been a lurker for a long time and had my 341 today. I arrived about an hour early and it was great to watch about 10 cases before mine. My trustee was really easy-going and the longest case in there lasted 10 minutes (because a creditor showed up on a secured loan.) I was so early that all of the cases scheduled for 9am were done by 9:40am and I sat in the room alone with my trustee for 20 minutes. He apologized for not being able to start until the scheduled time and was very nice.
I was the second case scheduled for the 10am and when the trustee called my name, my attorney wasn't there. I walked up to his desk and said that I had my petition but my attorney wasn't there. He suggested waiting for my attorney and took the next case. My attorney showed up and then it was my turn. The whole thing took less than 5 minutes. He asked a bunch of standard questions including why I had to file bankruptcy. Since he asked everybody else that, I had time to prepare my answer (many others were stumbling over this one.) The only specific question he had for me was why I had so many savings/checking account. I explained that many were linked to loans that I had and that two were opened due to incentive bonuses. He seemed happy with my answers and wished me luck. What a relief!
A few things to note in case anybody else in the Honolulu area has a 341 scheduled soon....he did not mention anything about tax refunds or the stimulus to anybody. There was somebody who filed pro se and she didn't bring her income tax returns. He told her to go home and get them and come back today so she didn't have to reschedule. I thought that was so nice of him.
