Kinda long...
My wife has been out of school for 12 years. She graduated with a BA in Business and MIS. She has a good job with good benefits.
For the last ten years, she has talked about going back to school and getting her Doctorate in Pharmacology. Because of our huge debt load (due to our business), we never thought it was an option.
Now, because of our bankruptcy, we have the 'freedom' to allow this to happen.
She has to take her science classes over as they are too old. That will take her two years, full time. She will quit her good, full time job in September and start college. She will work part-time while going to school for the next two years.
We are able to financially cover the next two years. But we are worried about the following four years in pharmacy school. At today's costs, four years of pharmacy school is upwards of $125,000 - $150,000.
There is lots of money available (via loans) to people seeking doctorates in any medical field, anyone here have any experience getting loans for grad school after bankruptcy?
Thanks!
