I know this has probably been asked a million times on here, but unfortunately, I can't find the posts...My husband works full time and currently, I am not. We are WAY under the median income for the state of NV, but where our income versus expenses, we are negative about $400. I would like to get a part time job, but worried that it would bring us out of the negative and what that would cause? I've asked my attorney, but haven't gotten a response from him yet. Any input would be great - if I did it after the 341, can they still come back on me and put us in a Ch 13? We file on June 23rd. Thanks!

Question about starting a job after filing or 341...

I already have a small part-time job, but according to paperwork from our Trustee regarding our non-exempt property that we are trying to buy back from the estate, I am EXPECTED to get a full-time job in order to fund the buy-back. Hubby has health problems that prevent him from working at this time.
I have applications in, but haven't heard anything so far......."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

When we filed, there had been talk about a promotion with my husband's job. Our lawyer told us that as long as it happened after the 341 we'd be okay.
Well, here we are a month after our 341 and nothing has happened yet.
Good luck!Filed Chapter 7: 3-22-08

It is best to wait til after the 341 meeting. The Trustee will ask there if there has been any changes and new income is a change. So to avoid a hassle I'd wait til after the 341 then get what you can
