Signed the paperwork... no longer nervous

I just left my lawyers office, where I paid my filing fee and signed my paperwork. I'll be filed by COB tomorrow.

I cannot believe how relieved I feel! I'm not even that nervous about my 341 anymore... my lawyer told me that on the day of the 341, I'm to arrive a half hour before my appointed time so we can watch a few cases together. He said there's generally a "question of the day" outside of the usual questions, and hearing it asked of others will allow me to think of a coherent answer ahead of time. That's a big load off my mind. It's a possible surprise question followed by nervous stuttering on my part that had me worried.

    341 hearing: 7/10/08

We actually had a 'pre-meeting'--if you want to call it that--the week before our 341. This was held in the attorney's office and was by conference call between her office and the Trustee's office. The Trustee's Office Manager conducted the meeting with my husband, myself and our attorney present. Essentially this worked like a dress rehersal. We were asked most of the questions that we would be asked later at the real 341. This is also where we found out for the first time that because I don't use my husband's surname as my married name, that we would have to produce our marriage license as well as our normal IDs. That took all three of us back. The attorney had never heard of that before. The other odd question that struck us was that we had to state how many and what breeds of CATS we have. (2 Domestic shorthairs, 1 Domestic longhair--all arrived as strays.) [Perhaps people have tried to pass pedigreed show animals off as strays?!?]

The dress rehearsal went okay, but we were still extremely nervous when we were at the real 341. It also did not help that our own attorney would not be with us--she had hired a local representative to sit with us. But we had no idea until we approached the table, and a third man joined us, who this person would be. Naturally, we had not talked to him beforehand. But it went okay, with the Trustee asking the same general questions as had happened the week before.

There were five or six people, and a couple ahead of us, and some of those questions were *interesting*.

          Congratulations!

Its a wonderful feeling and allows you a couple of weeks of relief.
My 341 is getting closer and I am finding myself feeling a bit more nervous again. But nothing like pre-filing!
