Compass Bank coming to 341...?

Hello!

So I looked on pacer under FILERS and noticed that as of today a representitive from compass bank is coming to 341...well I don't know if it means they are coming it says...

Well compass bank is our HELOC on our home which we are "surrendering" as we are upsaide down and in an interst only arm. I am wondering why they would come? What do they stand to gain by coming to the hearing? We have hovered around $105K on that HELOC for a year and have always made payments until May of this year. Any thoughts?

Nothing unusual. They actually lose nothing by not coming or coming. I wouldn't worry to much about it. Most likely he'll just ask if you are surrendering. You'll say yes. Then he'll probably enter that day or the next a motion for relief from the stay and start foreclosure proceedings. (It can still take months in some places before you have to vacate.)

I can't really answer your question but I am hoping that all these names and information you posted are all bogus. If they happen to be lurking on this forum they now know who you are.

They are just sticking it to their client probably. No reason for them to show up.

They can't do anything to you at the 341 meeting but ask questions. They have to go through the courts process to do anything. You're surrendering the property is nothing to worry about. The usual reason they come is to try to get you to reaffirm rather than surrender but you are not obligated to. There were about 20 people filing bankruptcy the day I had my 341 meeting and not one creditor showed up so don't be suprised if they don't even show.
