Today we had our 341 meeting. I was very nervous all morning. We were scheduled for 1:30. We arrived at 1:10. The 12:15 341 meetings concluded at 1:45, so they were very behind.
We met with partner that was filling in for our lawyer in a conference room. He asked if we had our S.S. and Drivers License. He reminded us to answer only yes or no, and not to volunteer any info.
As we sat and waited, the lawyers were all sitting together at a table in comfy chairs talking. I was being nosey and listening to their conversations. They were mainly comparing their blackberries and discussing who's Jaguar gets better gas milage (no joking).
We finally were called into the side conference room with the trustee at 3:00... it was a LONG wait!! (There was a couple before us that were in with the trustee for about 30 minutes. They had a creditor show up.)
After we sat down, the trustees paralegal checked our I.D.'s, then we were sworn in. She asked our sit-in lawyer for a copy of the declaration, but he didn't have it (so glad we paid them a few grand). Anyways, she then asked if we remembered signing it, and we both said yes. We were then asked four more questions... Did we review our schedule and didn't we want to change anything? Do we owe anyone money (ugh yah, many creditors
), Are we currently able to sue anyone? What our occupations were?
Then she said she is marking us as No Assett Case.
That was it. Our sit-in lawyer pulled us into a side conference room. He said that went well, and apologized for not having a signed declaration. He then said the next 60-90 days will be if any creditors have objections. He also said it is a lot of administration paperwork.
Seems very anti-climactic. But that is good. I am now a member of the 60 Day club!!!!!!!!!!
