I'm gettin so frustrated. As I mentioned in one post, my lawyers office sent out letters to the creditors informing them of my intent to file.
I recevied my deficiency balance statement from the mobile home that we surreneded (which ticks me off, cuz they sold that darn thing for only 12,600...it was only 5 years old and in GREAT condition!...but that's another story
) Anyhow, I called their offices to inform them of it and aske if she needed it she said I could send it over. The original amount and the creditor is already listed in the bankruptcy...so I'm not too concerned about it. Asked her how things were going and if it still looked like September time frame. She said yes. That she's been working on it off and on.
I understand that they are backlogged...but It's just getting frustrating. I retained their office on 7/21. I know that it's not even three weeks yet...butI can't see how it's going to take another 4 weeks or so to actually file the darn thing.
I've already paid them their fee up front. I feel like I could have just done it by myself, but I didn't want to take any chances of messing anything up.
What should I do? The fee isnot refundable of course, but how should I approach their offices and express my feelings about this and explain to them that I would like to file by the end of this month. It'll be only 3 weeks this thursday...maybe I'm just being impatient. I've done soooo much leg work on this 'case' that pretty much, all they needed to do was the schedules.
Any suggestions??
Thanks!
